
Meet Kyle
Dr. Kyle Kampman, MD, is a Professor of Psychiatry at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and the Presbyterian Medical Center of Philadelphia, and the Medical Director of The Charles O'Brien Center for the Treatment of Addictions. He will serve as a consultant to Dr. Heller and Rafias LLC on the clinical significance and viability of their lead identification studies. Dr. Kampman is a world expert in the treatment of alcohol, cocaine, and opiate dependence.
My Story
He chaired the committee that wrote the ASAM National Practice Guideline for the Use of Medications in the Treatment of Addiction Involving Opioid Use. He has led multiple clinical trials evaluating medications for cocaine, alcohol, and opiate dependence and is a recognized authority on the cocaine withdrawal syndrome. In addition to his research, he works at the Addiction Recovery Unit of the Philadelphia VA Medical Center, where he continues to treat patients with cocaine, alcohol, and opiate dependence using both medications and psychotherapy.
